Many of the young people who we support suffer greatly from stress in one form or another. This may be the stress resulting from their lived experience or the stress and anxiety of wondering what their future holds for them. In both cases stress and consequent poor mental health can dramatically impact physical health as well.
This is why UCS are keen to highlight Stress Awareness Month, which has been held every April since 1992 to raise awareness of the causes and cures for our modern-day stress epidemic.
During this annual thirty day period, health care professionals and health promotion experts across the country will join forces to increase public awareness about both the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic.
For our young children it is vitally important that they receive the support and care they need at an early age to deal with stress and its causes, before its effects become too severe. All our staff teams will be doing their upmost this month to make sure this is the case.
