Children’s Mental Health Week is an annual event that takes place each year in February and is designed to raise awareness and understanding of children’s mental health. The theme for this year’s event is “My Voice Matters” – the idea being no one should struggle with their mental health alone.
Charitable organisation Place2Be launched the first-ever Children’s Mental Health Week in 2015 to shine a spotlight on the importance of young people’s mental health. Now in its ninth year, the aim for the week is for more people than ever to get involved, spread the word, and raise vital funds for children’s mental health.
Every year, Place2Be’s expert team develops resources to help people participate in the week. From activity ideas and assembly guides to top tips and videos, their free resources will help you explore mental health and wellbeing with the children and young people around you.
My Voice Matters is about making meaningful conversations, talking about how you’re feeling and what is on your mind, not just during the awareness week but well into the future. beyond.
At UCS we will be supporting the week with activities and we hope you will too.
