Supporting Dementia Action Week
The Alzheimer’s Society does fantastic work, and this week highlights all they, many other organisations, and thousands of families and friends, do to support people who live with dementia,.
There are 850,000 people in the UK who are affected by dementia, and it does not just affect the elderly, 40,000 people in the UK under the age of 65 suffer from early onset dementia.
The aim of the Society is to create a culture where people affected by dementia are not stigmatised or shunned but are accepted and able to live in their communities without fear.
Every day United Health cares for people living with dementia in our care homes and so we are proud to support both the Society and this incredibly important annual event.
