It’s Dignity Action Day, part of the Dignity in Care campaign, which sets out the values to ensure that care services respect people’s dignity. At its heart, it means treating others as we would like to be treated, including enabling people to be as independent as possible, listening and supporting their own views, combating isolation and respecting privacy.
We always strive to be mindful of the dignity of our residents at The Valleys, but today for Diginity Action Day will be giving it a little extra thought, as we hold a special Digni-tea party for everyone on our Sapphire Suite. There will be loads of scrummy cakes and lots of cuppas available. Jill our Dignity Champion will be leading the event and we are sure it will go down a treat!
